Softing AG: New Executive Board member appointed to head Automotive Electronic

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Softing AG: New Executive Board member appointed to head Automotive Electronic (Haar/Germany, 18 January 2006) The Supervisory Board of Softing AG has appointed Dr.-Ing. Michael Siedentop (49) to the company’s Executive Board. Dr. Siedentop will assume his responsibilities at Softing AG as of 1 February 2006. After studying electrical engineering and earning his doctorate, Dr. Siedentop worked for a leading automotive electronics supplier from 1987 to 1999. During this time, Dr. Siedentop was responsible for the worldwide marketing and sales of car body electronics products and later for the development and sales of on-board network systems. In 1999, Dr. Siedentop became managing director of TÜV SÜD Group where he initially headed TÜV Automotive GmbH and in 2002 took over the management of TÜV Product Service GmbH. Dr. Siedentop will head the Automotive Electronics division of Softing AG. Softing is pleased to have won a manager with proven leadership qualities such as Dr. Siedentop, who has not only great technological expertise but also a wealth of experience in marketing and sales. Bernd Häußler and the Supervisory Board have mutually agreed to relieve Mr. Häußler from his duties as a member of the Executive Board and as the head of the Automotive Electronics division effective immediately. Softing thanks Mr. Häußler for his work and commitment during his time with the company and wishes him all the best for the future. Based on preliminary figures, Softing reached its forecast EBIT figure of just over EUR 1 million in 2005. The complete annual financial statements will be available on 31 March 2006 at the latest.
