Board changes

Softcat plc ("Softcat", or the "Company"), a leading UK provider of IT infrastructure products and services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robyn Perriss as a non-executive director of the Company.

Robyn has been Finance Director of Rightmove plc, the UK's largest property portal, since 2013 and before that previously held senior roles as Financial Controller and Company Secretary.  Prior to joining Rightmove, Robyn was Group Financial Controller at the online media business, Auto Trader.  She qualified as a chartered accountant in South Africa with KPMG and worked in both audit and transaction services.   Her appointment is effective from 1 July 2019 and she will chair Softcat's Audit Committee.

Peter Ventress has advised the Board of Softcat plc of his intention to step down as a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 31 December 2019.  This follows his decision to accept the role of non-executive director and Chairman-designate of Bunzl plc effective from 1 June 2019.  The Board will begin a search for a further non-executive director in due course.

Commenting on the appointment of Robyn Perriss, Martin Hellawell, Chairman of Softcat, said:

Commenting on Peter Ventress' decision to step back from the Board at the end of this calendar year, Martin Hellawell added:

"Peter has made a very significant contribution to the Board since joining us in 2015.  However, we fully understand the attraction of the role he has been offered and the subsequent medium term need for Peter to step off the Softcat board.  We are delighted for Peter and he will leave with our very best wishes and thanks."

In relation to the appointment of Robyn Perriss, the Company confirms that there are no other details that are required to be disclosed under 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
