Appointment

Caroline Guillaumin, currently Head of Corporate Communications at Alcatel-Lucent, will join Société Générale group as of 1 January 2010. She will take up the role of Head of Communications at that time. Caroline Guillaumin will be a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Caroline Guillaumin, aged 44, is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility, and a member of the Management Committee of Alcatel-Lucent, from October 2006 to October 2009. From May 2003 to October 2006, Caroline Guillaumin was Director of Corporate Communication and CSR of SFR. She served as Director of Internal and External Communication at Alcatel from 1999 through 2003, and as Senior Marketing and Communication Manager at Alcatel TITN Answare from 1998 – 1999. Between 1997-1998, she was European Marketing and Communication Director for VERITY Inc., a US company specialised in internet search engines. From 1989 to 1998 she held a number of positions in France and the US at PC Publishing where she began her career as product manager.

Caroline Guillaumin is a graduate of the Institut d'études politiques, Bordeaux with a Political Science diploma, and holds a Master in Political Sciences from Université de Bordeaux I, as well as a Master of Arts in International Relations from Boston University.
