Smiths News has today been notified that Mr Mark Whiteling, senior independent non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed as Chairman and non-executive director of Xpediator PLC with effect from 22 September 2021.  As part of Mr Whiteling's appointment to the board of Xpediator PLC, he will also be a member of their Remuneration Committee.

This notification is made pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.14(2) of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.
