DOMESTIC EQUITY BENCH-MARKS surrendered early gains to finish marginally lower on Thursday on expiry of June derivatives contracts amid upbeat global cues.

After a positive opening, the 30-share BSE Sensex suddenly faced selling pressure in lateafternoon trade. It finally settled just 5.67 points, or 0.01%, lower at 39,586.41.

Similarly, the broader NSE Nifty slipped 6 points, or 0.05%, to end at 11,841.55.

Top losers in the Sensex pack included Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, RIL, ITC, Infosys, PowerGrid, Kotak Bank, Yes Bank and Vedanta, shedding up to 2.26%.

On the other hand, Tata Motors, M&M, ONGC, Axis Bank, HDFC, SBI, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma and HUL rose up to 2.95%.

On the global front, markets rose in anticipation of a trade truce between the US and China, with Donald Trump and Xi Jinping set to hold talks on the sidelines of the G-20 summit in Japan.

However, India-US trade tensions loomed large on domestic investors' radars after Trump tweeted that India's "very high" tariffs on US goods are "unacceptable" and must be withdrawn. Government asks PSBs to analyse MSME credit woes

'मी देह आहे' त्या देहाचं मग काही मोल शिल्लक राहत नाही. देहालाच सर्वस्वच मानून बसला, ही माणसाची अज्ञानता आहे. हा देह कायम राहणार नाही. हा तर पाच तत्त्वांचा पुतळा आहे. जेव्हा या पाच तत्त्वांशी नातं तुटतं, तेव्हा त्याचा अंत होतो. वास्तविक माणूस आहे तरी कोण? कोणामुळे हे शरीर चालतंय, हालतंय? जेव्हा म्हणतो, हा माझा हात आहे, माझ डोकं दुखतंय, माझ्या पायात कळ आहे. हे माझे डोळे आहेत, कान माझे आहेत, म्हणजेच देहावेगळा कोणीतरी आहे, ज्याचं हे सगळं आहे. 'माझे डोळे, माझे कान' असे म्हणणार कोण आहे? जसं आम्ही घरात राहतो तेव्हा कोणी म्हणत नाही की, 'मी घर आहे, 'मी कपाट आहे'. आम्ही घरामध्ये राहत आहोत. आम्ही चेतन आहोत, म्हणून आम्ही म्हणतो की, हे माझं घर आहे. ही माझ्या घराची अलमारी आहे. त्याचप्रमाणे हे माझं अगं आहे. जसा मी घर नाही, त्याचप्रमाणे मी देहही नाही. हा कोण आहे जे 'मी म्हणतोय? याची आम्हाला ओळख करायची आहे. हे मूळ कोणतं आहे? हा स्रोत कोणता आहे? ज्यामुळे देहात चलनवलन आहे. ज्यामुळे शरीराची किंमत आहे. ती चेतन सत्ता म्हणजेच हा आत्मा. जो या परमात्म्याचा अंश आहे. जेव्हा मूळ सत्यरुपी परत्म्याची ओळख होते तेव्हा मग 'स्व'ची सुद्धा ओळख होते. ज्यामुळे लक्षात येते की, मी केवळ बाहेरून दिसणारं स्वरूप नाही, केवळ हे शरीरच नाही. मी वास्तविक अशी एक सत्ता आहे, जी या प्रभूची आभा आहे. याचाच अंश आहे, या जाणिवेमुळे मनुष्ययोनीची किंमत वाढते. यामुळेच मानव शरीराचं महत्त्व आहे. म्हणून संत महात्मा समजावतात की– एही तेरी अक्सर एही तेरी बार' ही तुला संधी, हीच तुझी येळ आहे. तुला संधी मिळालीय स्वतःला जाणून घेण्याची. हीच तुझी वेळ आहे. तुझ्या देवाला जाणून घे. जर आमच्या जीवनात देव आला, तर खऱ्या अर्थाने जीवन धन्य होईल. आमच्या जीवनात केवळ हरिचर्चा नको, हरी पाहिजे. याचीच आवश्यकता आहे. ईश्वरप्राती हेच मानवी जीवनाचे परमलक्ष्य आहे. कारण देव जीवनात येताच अवघा संसार सुखमय होतो.

जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी कर रहे जापान को उम्मीद है कि वैश्विक नेता समुद्री प्लास्टिक कचरे को लेकर एक करार का समर्थन करने के साँथ ही जलवायु परिवर्तन पर समान राय रखेंगे लेकिन उसका खुद का पर्यावरणीय रिकार्ड निगरानी के दायरे में हैं।

ओसाका में इस हफ्ते होने जा रहे जी 20 शिखर सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता जापान कर रहा है और उसने समुद्री प्लास्टिक कचरे पर पर्यावरण मंत्रियों के साथ पहले से ही एक समझौता कर लिया है

कार्यकर्ताओं का कहना है कि जापान प्लास्टिक के उपयोग को कम कर पाने में काफी पीछे है और जलवायु परिवर्तन को लेकर अपने रुख में बदलाव लाने के अमेरिकी दबाव को झेल रहा है ताकि मुद्दे पर एक जैसी राय बन सके। इस सौदे के तहत जी 20 सदस्य देशों को प्लास्टिक कचरा कम करने के लिए प्रतिबद्धता दिखानी होगी लेकिन इस लक्ष्य को हासिल कैसे किया जाएगा इस बारे में बहुत कम ब्योरे शामिल किए गए हैं। इसमें स्वैच्छिक कदमों और सालाना प्रगति रिपोर्ट देने जैसे

कदमों को प्रस्तावित किया गया है।

प्रधानमंत्री शिजो आबे ने पिछले महीने कहा था कि यह मद्दा, 'जी 20 के सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण मुद्दों में से एक होगा।' साथ ही कहा था कि जापान, 'नेतृत्व की भूमिका निभाने की उम्मीद कर रहा है।' पर्यावरण कार्यकर्ताओं का हालांकि कहना है कि यह सौदा 'पहला कदम' है वहीं वे इसे ज्यादा महत्त्वाकांक्षी बनाए जाने का भी तर्क दे रहे हैं।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप जापान के ओसाका में होने जा रहे जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन में शामिल होने के लिए वाइट हाउस से बुधवार को रवाना हुए। यहां वह विश्व की शीर्ष 20 अर्थव्यवस्था के नेताओं के साथ कई द्विपक्षीय एवं वैश्विक मद्दों पर चर्चा करेंगे।

ट्रंप ने वाइट हाउस में संवाददाताओं से कहा, 'मैं जापान के ओसाका के लिए रवाना हो रहा हूं। हम विभिन्न देशों के नेताओं के साथ मुलाकात करने वाले हैं जिनमें से कई अमेरिका का फायदा उठाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं लेकिन अब बहुत ज्यादा ऐसा नहीं होने वाला है, और बहुत जल्द कुछ भी ऐसा नहीं होने वाला है।' अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जी-20 शिखर सम्मेलन से इतर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के अलावा चीनी एवं रूसी समकक्षों शी जिनपिंग और व्लादिमीर पतिन से भी मलाकात करेंगे।

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को चुनाव में मिली हालिया जीत के बाद ट्रंप के साथ यह उनकी पहली मुलाकात होगी। इससे ठीक पहले अमेरिकी विदेश मंत्री माइक पोम्पिओ ने भारत का दौरा किया और इस दौरान वह मोदी, विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर और राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा सलाहकार अजित डोभाल से मिले।

ट्रंप और मोदी के बीच होने वाली मुलाकात व्यापार एवं आर्थिक मुद्दों के चलते द्विपक्षीय संबंधों में पनपे तनाव को देखते हुए अहम मानी जा रही है। वाइट हाउस में मीडिया के साथ बातचीत में टंप ने भारत का जिक्र नहीं किया था।

वहीं दूसरी तरफ ट्रंप ने आगाह किया कि वह चीन पर नए व्यापार शुल्क लगा सकते हैं और साथ ही अमेरिका के कुछ करीबी सहयोगियों पर मुफ्तखोरी का आरोप भी लगाया। उन्होंने घोषणा की कि चीन के साथ व्यापार युद्ध को लेकर उनका रुख सख्त ही रहने वाला है।

टंप ने टवीट किया. 'वर्षों से भारत अमेरिका के खिलाफ बेहद ऊंची दर लगाए हुए हैं। हाल में भी दरों में इजाफा हुआ है। यह अस्वीकार्य है और इसे वापस लेना होगा।' इससे पहले अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ने चीन पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा कि बेजिंग इसलिए समझौता करना चाहता है क्योंकि दुनिया को दूसरी नंबर की अर्थव्यस्था गर्त में जा रही है।

अमेरिका और ईरान में बढते तनाव के बीच अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने बुधवार को कहा कि ईरानी नेताओं को अपने लोगों की चिंता नहीं है। ट्रंप ने वाइट हाउस के साउथ लॉन्स में संवाददाताओं को बताया, 'ईरान को अपने लोगों के लिए सही चीजें करनी चाहिए। समस्या यह है कि मुझे नहीं लगता कि उनके नेता...अपने लोगों की चिंता करते हैं। अगर वे करते हैं, तो वे एक समझौता करेंगे। अगर वे नहीं करते हैं तो वे सिर्फ अपने बारे में सोच रहे हैं। और वे स्वार्थी हैं तथा अगर वे ऐसा कर रहे हैं तो वे बेवकूफ हैं।'

शिरीन मैथ्यूज के दत्तक पिता को मिली उम्रकैद

डलास, २७ जून (भाषा)।

अमेरिका में डलास की एक अदालत ने भारतीय बच्ची शिरीन मैथ्यज की मौत के मामले में उसके भारतीय–अमेरिकी दत्तक पिता वेस्ले मैथ्यूज को बुधवार को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई। 2017 में तीन वर्षीय शिरीन की मौत ने पूरी दुनिया का ध्यान अपनी ओर खींचा था। मैथ्यूज (39) ने सोमवार को शिरीन की मौत के मामले में एक बच्चे को चोट पहुंचाने के हल्के आरोप को लेकर गुनाह कबूला। अमेरिकी राज्य टेक्सास के अधिकारियों ने पहले उस पर हत्या का आरोप लगाया था।
