Dual Growth Strategy:

    1. Identification and Development of new "Colonial" brew‐pub venues throughout Australia
    1. Acquisition of a portfolio of profitable stand alone venues suitable for the distribution and sale of Colonial craft beer brands

Empire settled on Colonial in December 2006.

  • • Year on year figures are showing improvement in the bottomline result for Colonial
  • • Afull promotional program has been developed to maximise the key Summer trading period

In May 2007 Colonial won a number of major awards confirming its status as one of Australia's best craft brewers.

The Royal

In April 2007 Empire entered into a Heads of Agreement to purchase The Royal

  • • Settlement tookplace in July 2007
  • • Transition to newownership has gone smoothly
  • • Performance during the first 4 months has exceeded expectations
  • • A number of opportunities have been identified for implementation in the first half of 2008 aimed at maximising the bar driver of the business

Under our strategy of acquiring profitable stand alone foodand beverage venues, or sites suitable for Colonial brew‐pub venues, we have undertaken the following……….

  • •Since listing we have considered / approached in excess of 100 venues across 4 states
  • • We have done a preliminary due diligence on approximately 40 venues during this time
  • • Currently negotiations continue on a number of these opportunities
  • • After preliminary due diligence, any that didn't meet our investment criteria, have been passed on

Acquisitions

Moving Forward

We will continue to seek suitable venues for our model……….

  • • Focus on venues that will provide positive cashflow fromDay 1
  • •WA, SA and Victoria are primary focus
  • • Multi site purchase, or venues in excess of $5m revenue p.a are being targeted
  • • Strong relationship with Members Equity Bank has been formed, with alignment on strategy
