bmp AG: bmp transfers K2 share to bmp Media Investors
Berlin, 17.12.2008
bmp AG (ISIN DE0003304200) has transferred virtually all of its shares in
its listed investment K2 Internet S.A. (465,000 shares, 22.9%) to bmp Media
Investors AG & Co. KGaA, a 100%-held subsidiary of bmp AG.
This measure has been taken in the context of reducing the investments
directly held by bmp AG. In view of the current situation on the stock
markets, a short term disposal of the shares is not expected even after
expiry of the lock-up agreement in June 2009 which bmp Media Investors
joined fully and which applies to the majority of the shares to be
transferred. Therefore the transfer is made to the thematically fitting
portfolio of bmp Media Investors as an investment company focusing on media
and marketing services.
'The transfer of K2 to the portfolio of bmp Media Investors increases the
latter’s portfolio to eleven companies and constitutes a strong expansion
both in terms of value and competence', explains Jens Spyrka, director of
bmp Media Investors and bmp AG’s responsible partner for K2 since 2000.
The portfolio directly held by bmp AG has now reduced to five investments
after the transfer of K2.
