bmp AG: bmp disposes of participation in Tom's Guides Publishing AG

Berlin, 15.01.2007

bmp AG (ISIN DE3304200) has today sold its 20% participation in Tom's
Guides Publishing AG - a provider of online magazines in the computer
hardware sector internationally renowned as the publisher of Tom's Hardware
Guide - which it entered into in 1999, to Best of Media S.A. of Paris. The
transaction will take effect subject to condition precedents.

bmp AG anticipates receipt of the purchase price in the near future, the
amount of which is subject to a confidentiality agreement. Completion of
the transaction is expected by the end of January. The entire amount of the
purchase price will be paid to bmp in cash - an existing loan will also be
paid back at the same time. Due to the transaction bmp has achieved a
satisfied positive return on its investment.
