bmp AG: bmp sells Internet Service S.A.

Berlin, 05.02.2007

bmp AG (ISIN DE0003304200) has successfully sold its shareholding in
Internet Service S.A., a Polish company which operates the automobile
internet portal 'mojeauto.pl', to Bankier.pl S.A.. The sale of this
shareholding, which was acquired only in October 2006, has generated 265%
of the funds thereby employed.

The acquisition of the shareholding in October was already undertaken
jointly with Bankier.pl S.A. In doing so, bmp exercised a pre-emption
option held as a result of an earlier shareholding owned by bmp/CEEV in
Internet Service S.A. in the years 2000-2003. This previous shareholding
was terminated at the time by means of an MBO. bmp’s objective was to
provide optimal support to the 'build and buy' strategy adopted by
Bankier.pl S.A. – which then still formed part of bmp’s portfolio – in the
interests of increasing the company’s scope of activity.

Following the conclusion of restructuring measures and the initiation of
various cooperation agreements, and especially in view of the initial
experience gained by the two companies from the cooperation, Bankier.pl
S.A. is exercising the takeover option for bmp’s shareholding at an earlier
point than expected. This option had been granted by bmp within the
framework of the acquisition of the joint shareholding. Once the
transaction with bmp has been completed, Bankier will hold around 90% of
the shares in Internet Service S.A. This company operates one of the
leading online automobile information resources and has approximately
350,000 unique users. The linking of the two companies and their respective
offerings creates significant added value for the user groups, enabling
automobile and financing products to be combined. 'We are pleased about the
successful transaction, as well as about the obvious added value for the
two companies,' commented Jens Spyrka, partner responsible at bmp AG.
