The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Berlin, 12 May 2005 Following a subscription for shares in Revotar Biopharmaceuticals AG and within the framework of a financing round and the accompanying reorganisation of the shareholders, bmp announces today that it has taken the opportunity to significantly increase its stake in Revotar Biopharmaceuticals AG, the most important biotechnology holding in its portfolio, from 22.4% to 59.96%. Revotar has very propitious clinical phase II data on psoriasis and asthma. Another phase II pilot study on COPD (chronic bronchitis) is also currently underway. Thus the company has an extremely promising product pipeline in strong-growing blockbuster markets and is one of the few biotech companies with positive clinical phase II results. The financial means made available within the framework of the capital increase will aid further clinical development as well as the establishment of partnerships with the biotechnology and/or pharmaceuitcals industry. The company is aiming to achieve a trade sale or IPO within the next two to three years.
