bmp fund management: bmp customers invest in new funds by Oak Hill Capital
Partners and PAI Partners
Berlin, 11.03.2008
The private equity fund of funds by König & Cie. advised by bmp AG (ISIN
DE0003304200) and a further bmp customer have extended their portfolios
with covenants into attractive target funds.
The fund of funds 'König & Cie. Private Equity International II' (INPEQ II)
initiated in co-operation with the Hamburg investment company König & Cie.
and advised by bmp thereby has submitted an investment covenant amounting
to 5 Mio. US$ for Oak Hill Capital Partners III (OHCP III).
OHCP III is a North American mid-market buyout fund with which focuses on
basic industries, media and telecommunication, consumer goods and trade,
financial services, health care and technology. In its investment strategy
it is corresponding to the previous fund OHCP II, in which 'König & Cie.
Private Equity International I' (INPEQ I) – also advised by bmp – had
invested before.
INPEQ II is now invested in a total of seven renowned target funds with an
accepted value amounting to 22 Mio. EUR.
In the context of its over-commitment strategy INPEQ I has also undertaken
a further subscription in the French buyout fund PAI Europe V (PAI V) which
amounts to 3 Mio. EUR.
In the scope of its investment strategy, the fund focuses on middle-sized
to large leveraged buyouts in the industrial sectors services, capital
equipment and consumer goods and thereby it puts its regional focal point
on France as well as additionally Spain, Italy, Germany and the UK.
With the subscription of PAI V the whole subscription value of INPEQ I
amounts to 37.0 Mio EUR in 13 target funds.
Besides INPEQ I, bmp could allow an allocation in PAI V to the amount of 5
Mio. EUR to one of its further customers, a local bank investing for its
own balance.
'The extension of our customer portfolio makes it increasingly easier to
combine our customers´ subscription requests and thus to fulfil high
minimum subscription values of the target funds', says executive board
member Ralph Günther, responsible for the division Private Equity Advisory
at bmp.
