SKS Technologies receives formal acceptance of $10 million for New Footscray Hospital

SKS Technologies Group Limited (ASX: SKS) is pleased to announce that it has received a formal acceptance of approximately $10 million to design, supply and install the Audio Visual package related to the Private Public Partnership (PPP) for the New Footscray Hospital, Melbourne.

Construction of the $1.5 billion new Footscray Hospital, delivered by the Plenary Health consortium in partnership with Multiplex and Western Health, is now underway and will be the largest ever health infrastructure investment in Victoria’s history, due for completion in 2025.

Additional infrastructure will allow 15,000 more patients to be treated and almost 20,000 extra people to be seen in the emergency department each year. There will also be a significant increase in mental health beds and more outpatient, palliative care and surgical services.

SKS Technologies has been leading the technology design phase of the project in conjunction with the project partnership for the past 2 years and has been engaged to design, supply and deliver all aspects of the hospital covering technology systems such as audio visual, education and training, digital signage, wayfinding, patient check-in and queuing systems throughout the 10 floor facility.

Chief Executive Officer, Matthew Jinks, said ‘This formal acceptance is a significant achievement for the company and again shows the strength of our capabilities. Upon execution of the contract, expected to be in the early part of next year, the contract will place the Company’s work in hand position in excess of $40 million and provides the business with a strong foundation for future growth and profits”.
