20 March 2018, Melbourne Australia : Stokes Limited ( ASX: SKS ) is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Stokes Technologies Pty Ltd has successfully secured two significant audio visual contracts comprising the Vision 2020 Victorian State Library Redevelopment and a high tech multi-storey student accommodation facility in Carlton.

The $88 million Vision 2020 redevelopment project will transform State Library Victoria, Australia’s oldest and busiest public library and one of Victoria’s most important cultural institutions. At the heart of Vision 2020 is the refurbishment of the Library’s incomparable heritage spaces, the creation of innovative new spaces for children and teenagers, and the reinvention of services as the library embraces new technologies and promotes digital literacy and creativity for all Victorians. The project is due for an immediate start with targeted staged completion dates through to 2019.

The $85 million new multi-storey development of student accommodation on the fringe of the Melbourne CBD will include a large integrated entertainment floor with in excess of 700 individual high tech student suites. The fully integrated system uses a modern IPTV backbone and Smart displays, designed to deliver high-speed Internet-borne entertainment. The project is also due for an immediate start with a forecasted completion by the end of 2019.

These contracts add to a significant line of successful tenders the company has been awarded in recent months and brings the group’s total work in hand to approximately $11 million confirming the underlying business growth continues to be strong.
