Enevis Appoints New Chief Financial Officer

As foreshadowed in late October, the Board of Enevis Limited (ASX: ENE) has concluded its recruitment process for a new Chief Financial Officer and is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Beaton, who commenced in the role today.

Gary has over 30 years of experience as a construction and project accountant, and has previously worked for six years with the Enevis management team as CFO of their former business KLM Group. During that time, Gary played an intrinsic role in growing revenue from $50 million to $160 million including associated working capital management, and was intimately involved in all acquisitions and divestments. He was also instrumental in the ultimate sale of the business in 2010 to facilities management business, Programmed Ltd.

Most recently, Gary completed an 18-month contract with Spotless Group to effect the consolidation of the construction component of a suite of Downer EDI businesses and subsidiary acquisitions.

Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Peter Jinks, said “We’re delighted to have Gary back in the team with us. His knowledge of the electrical trades and service and maintenance sector will make for a smooth transition into the role, not least his insights into how we all work as a team.

“Gary joins the business at an exciting time as our focus shifts from restructuring and consolidation to further building our national presence in the traditional businesses, and capturing the opportunities in the emerging LED grow lighting technologies with our worldclass suite of LumiGrow grow lighting technologies,” he said.

Gary will also perform the function of Company Secretary for Enevis.
