Silver Chef announces appointment of a non – executive Director

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Patrick Tapper as a non-executive Director of Silver Chef Limited.

Patrick has had over 25 year’s experience in the telecommunications, technology, media, and entertainment industries, most notably as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of national broadband company, Internode. He commenced with Internode in 1998 when it was a 12 - person business and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2008 He served in this role until that company was sold to iiNet Limited in 2012 at which time it had revenue of approximately $200m and 450 staff.

We believe that Patrick’s background in operational management at Internode (a rapidly growing company with a sophisticated IT infrastructure) and his other skills will enhance the Board’s expertise.

Patrick currently serves as a Non-Executive Director of Service to Youth Council (SYC Ltd), a nongovernment, not-for-profit community service organization. Patrick sits on a number of SYC’s subcommittees including Audit, Remuneration and is Chair of their ICT committee. He also was also recently appointed to the board of Acurus Pty Ltd, a leading Australian IT consulting and solutions provider based in Melbourne.

Patrick is a former Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in South Australia, and a former Chairman at Executive Boards Australia, which provides advisory board facilitation, leadership, HR & marketing services.

Patrick is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
