POSITIVE PROFIT ALERT

This announcement is made by Universe Entertainment and Culture Group Company Limited (the “ Company ” and together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) pursuant to Rule 13.09 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited and the Inside Information Provisions under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571, Laws of Hong Kong).

The board of directors of the Company (the “ Board ”) wishes to inform the shareholders and potential investors of the Company that the Group is preparing its interim results for the six months period ended 31st December 2019 (the “ Period ”). Based on the information currently available, the Group expected (i) the revenue will increase significantly during the Period compared to the corresponding period of previous year; and (ii) to record a net profit for the Period against a net loss for the six months period ended 31st December 2018, mainly due to satisfactory performance of the film called “White Storm 2 – Drug Lords” (“掃毒 2 天地對決”) released by the Group during the Period.

As the Company is still in the process of finalising the interim result for the six months ended 31st December 2019, the information contained in this announcement is based only on the preliminary assessment by the management according to the information currently available to it and is not based on any figures or information that has been audited or review by the auditors and the audit committee of the Company.

The interim results announcement of the Group for the six months ended 31st December 2019 is expected to be published in late February 2020.
