VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT TOTAL NEW CONTRACT VALUE

This announcement is made voluntarily by SINOPEC Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”). The board of directors of the Company (the “ Board ”) is pleased to update shareholders of the Company and potential investors on certain information in connection with the representative new contracts entered into by the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2022 and the total value of the new contracts for the three months ended 31 March 2022.

This announcement is made by the order of the Board. The Board collectively and individually accepts responsibility for the accuracy of this announcement.

During the three months ended 31 March 2022, the total value of new contracts entered into by the Group amounted to RMB31.370 billion, representing an increase of 4.9% as compared to RMB29.893 billion for the three months ended 31 March 2021, in which, the total value of newly signed domestic contracts is RMB30.163 billion, and the total value of newly signed overseas contracts is US$189 million.

During the three-month period ended 31 March 2022, the Group’s newly signed contracts that are representative include: the Huizhou ethylene project BEPC contract, the Tianjin Nangang ethylene and high-end new material industry cluster project (part of the bidding section) EPC contract, the Shandong LNG project (phase III) storage tank EPC contract, the Skikda LNG project storage tank EPC contract in Algeria.

New contract value represents the value of the contracts the Group entered into during a specified period. The value of a contract is the amount that the Group expects to receive under the terms of the contract if the contract is performed in accordance with its terms.

The Board wishes to emphasise that the above information in relation to the representative new contracts and the total value of new contracts shall not constitute any forecast or prediction of the profits of the Group.
