This announcement is made by the Company pursuant to Rule 13.09(1) of the Listing Rules.

The board of directors of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that the unaudited loss of the Group for the six months ended 31st December 2010 is expected to increase as compared to the corresponding period in 2009.

Shareholders of the Company and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the shares of the Company.

This announcement is made by Universe International Holdings Limited (the "Company") pursuant to Rule 13.09 (1) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the "Listing Rules").

The board of directors of the Company (the "Board") wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company and potential investors that based on the unaudited financial statements of the Company and its subsidiaries (collectively the "Group"), the unaudited loss of the Group for the six months ended 31st December 2010 is expected to increase as compared to the corresponding period in 2009 due to the facts that the operating environment for the business of film exhibition and film licensing continued to be difficult and provisions for impairment losses may be required to be made by the Group in relation to certain film rights as a result.

As the Company is still in the process of finalising the unaudited interim results of the Group for the six months ended 31st December 2010, the Company is presently unable to quantify precisely the extent of the losses for the period, this announcement is only a preliminary estimate performed by the management of the Company and is not based on any figures or information which has been audited or reviewed by the Company's auditors. The unaudited interim results announcement of the Group is expected to be released in February 2011 in accordance with the requirements of the Listing Rules.
