APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY AND AUTHORISED REPRESENTATIVE

Reference is made to the announcement of SINOPEC Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd. (the “ Company ”) dated 16 May 2019 in relation to the resignation of Mr. Sang Jinghua (桑 菁華) as the vice president, the secretary to the Board and the company secretary of the Company, and his cessation to act as the authorised representative of the Company.

The board of directors (the “ Board ”) of the Company is pleased to announce that it has resolved to approve the appointment of Mr. Jia Yiqun (賈益群) (“ Mr. Jia ”), the chief financial officer of the Company, as the company secretary and the authorised representative of the Company at the Fourth Meeting of the Third Session of the Board convened on 30 July 2019, with effect from 30 July 2019.

Biographical details of Mr. Jia are set out below:

Mr. Jia, aged 51, is a senior engineer with a master degree. From July 1990 to April 2003, Mr. Jia held positions in Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Engineering (中 國石化石油化工科學研究院), China Petrochemical International Company (中國石化 國際事業公司) and Foreign Affairs Bureau of China Petrochemical Corporation (中國 石油化工集團有限公司). Mr. Jia served as a deputy chief representative of the Hong Kong Representative Office of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (中國石化 股份有限公司) from April 2003 to June 2012, has been the chief financial officer of the Company since August 2012 and has been the company secretary of the Company since July 2019. Mr. Jia obtained the qualifications of Chartered Financial Analyst issued by the CFA Institute in September 2006. Taking into account Mr. Jia’s academic and professional qualifications and relevant experience, the Board considers that Mr. Jia is capable of discharging his duties as the company secretary and the authorised representative of the Company.
