SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES:
Additional Order for SINGULUS Nano Deposition Technologies

Kahl am Main, June 6, 2007 - The SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG (SINGULUS)
received an additional follow-up order for 'SINGULUS Nano Deposition
Technologies' in the past days. A US-customer ordered another TIMARIS
coating machine for thin film heads (read/write heads). The orders received
for these thin film coating machines operating in the nano-dimension are
currently exceeding EUR 4 million.

SINGULUS had already been able to establish itself in the market with its
innovative TIMARIS machine concept in the past year through several
successful sales. In the meantime, the first machines were delivered to
customers from the area of magnetic storage media and recognized as sales
in the 1st quarter. The successful commissioning has now resulted in an
additional follow-up order.

For the current business year SINGULUS expects further orders in this new
business segment. This business division will generate double-digit million
sales for the first time in 2007.

Short profile SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES

SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is market leader for optical disc production lines
and is the only manufacturer globally to offer the complete range of
products: mastering systems, molding machines and replication lines.

In addition to the further development of the core activities Optical Disc,
the diversification into new work areas will be the biggest challenge in
the next couple of years.

In 2007, SINGULUS will focus on the following goals:

•Clear market leadership in all work areas of Optical Disc with the goal to
benefit disproportionately from the upcoming growth of the new format
generation.
•Expansion of market leadership for photo mask cleaning and processing
machines for the semi-conductor industry.
•Extensive further development of the segments 'Nano Deposition
Technologies' and 'Optical Coatings' as well as the new business area
'Decorative Coatings' to become independent work areas with increasing
sales and earnings contributions.
•Consistent expansion of the activities in the next couple of years through
the introduction of new work areas by means of acquisitions in order to
generate sales and earnings contributions with additional new business
areas.

A large market potential as well as the proximity to SINGULUS’ core
competencies are the essential factors in examining the expansion
possibilities into new work areas.

The huge technologic competence of the employees enables a broad scope of
activities and therefore many diversification opportunities. In the
previous year, SINGULUS already started the 'screening' of the markets for
interesting technologies and companies with significant growth potential.

The realization of these goals will lay the foundation to safeguard the
future of the company and to generate new growth.
