Hans-Jürgen Stangl appointed to Management Board

Kahl am Main, November 15, 2007 – Hans-Jürgen Stangl (44) has been

appointed to the Management Board of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG (SINGULUS) as

member with responsibility for the newly established ‘Solar’ business unit.

The company’s Supervisory Board appointed him to the Management Board with

effect of January 1, 2008 by a resolution passed on November 15, 2007.

Within the Solar Division, Hans-Jürgen Stangl, CEO of the SINGULUS

subsidiary STANGL Semiconductor Equipment AG (STANGL) will coordinate all

activities of STANGL and also take charge of the establishment of a new

division ‘Solar’ at SINGULUS in Kahl.

In recruiting Hans-Jürgen Stangl, SINGULUS has succeeded in obtaining an

experienced expert from the Solar market. After completing his technical

training he worked as Project Manager for Sales and Technical Development

for three years for an well known equipment manufacturer in the

semiconductor industry. Since 2002 he has been running the STANGL company,

which was founded in 1988, developing it and successfully taking it into

the booming area of solar technology.

‘The Management Boards growth strategy is to move forward both the Optical

disc and Solar business units simultaneously’, remarked Stefan A. Baustert.

‘Hans-Jürgen Stangl will be taking charge of the Solar business unit and

expanding it successfully. We will be able to exploit the scope of the

solar market thanks to his outstanding expertise and generate above-average

growth hand in hand with STANGL.’

STANGL is currently one of the few suppliers of wet-chemical processing

plant for both crystalline silicon solar technology and thin-film solar

technology. Hans-Jürgen Stangl added: ‘I am looking forward to working with

my new colleagues on the Management Board. We aim to capitalise on the

scope of the SINGULUS Group and further increase the pace of STANGL’s

growth in the market for solar systems worldwide. We will further

strengthen our presence in the photovoltaic market in developing our own

coating system for anti-reflective coatings for crystalline silicon solar

cells.

STANGL alone expects annual double digit growth rates.The new coating system will help to generate further growth.
