Sims Metal Management Announces Organisational Change in Australia & New Zealand Metals
(ASX: SGM) (OTC: SMSMY) Sims Metal Management CEO Galdino Claro today announced that Darron McGree, currently Managing Director of Australia & New Zealand Metals, will step down from his position on 30 June, 2015.
“Darron has been an integral member of the Sims’ executive team for more than 30 years, running our very successful Australasian division, "Mr Claro said. “He leaves our business in a very sound position, and we are truly indebted for the wisdom and foresight he has shown in building our business to its pre-eminent position in the region.” Mr McGree will remain as a non-executive director of Sims Group Australia Holdings Limited for a period of time.
The Company has initiated a search for a replacement for Mr McGree and is considering internal as well as external candidates. Mr McGree has agreed to continue to oversee the Australia & New Zealand Metals businesses until his successor can commence.
