SIMONE S.P.A. INVESTS 2.5 MILLION EUROS FOR A NEW DIGITAL PRINTING FACILITY SUPPORTED BY ZES FUNDS

The company has applied for the ZES and Transition 4.0 facilities

Transaction financed with a lease that will be completed by November 15, 2024

Milan, 11th July 2024 – Simone S.p.A. ("Simone" or the "Company"), a company operating in the publishing sector, announces that it has applied for tax facilities under the "Zona Economica Speciale" ("ZES") and Decree-Law No. 39 "Transition 4.0" ("4.0") of March 29, 2024.

The company will invest 2.5 million for a new digital printing facility, of which 2.3 million will be eligible for both ZES and 4.0 subsidies. The new facility will be financed by a leasing transaction and will be completed by November 15, 2024.

The ZES was established as part of the urgent interventions for economic growth in the South of Italy in order for existing or new businesses to benefit from tax breaks and administrative simplifications. On the other hand, 4.0 extends the tax relief model for the purchase of innovative and interconnected machinery defined within the "Industria 4.0" industrial development plan.

The operation, which has already been approved by the Board of Directors on condition that the new machines pass the tests, will allow a significant increase in the production capacity of the inhouse plant for black/white productions and will enable the publication of volumes that, due to limited print runs, are no longer marketed.

Legal and competition publications require increasingly shorter but much more frequent print runs: this requires advanced digital printing systems that can accommodate this need. Not only will we be able to expand our offerings with more and more up-to-date products, but we will also be able to produce in an increasingly efficient and sustainable way, limiting inventory and the risk of returns".
