CHANGES TO BOARD AND COMPANY SECRETARIAT

Melbourne, 20 April 2016: Simonds Group (Simonds) (ASX: SIO) advises the following board changes with immediate effect.

As part of the board succession plan for Mr. Gary Simonds, Mr. Rhett Simonds has been appointed to the Simonds board as a Non-Executive Director. Rhett is a member of the Simonds family and has been involved with the business since joining the Simonds Group of Companies in 2005. During that time Rhett worked in the construction side of the business and was appointed to the board in 2010. Rhett had a focus on technology-based education and training platforms with job placement outcomes. Today this is known as Builders Academy Australia.

Mr Richard Colless has retired from his role as Non-Executive Director. The board wishes to thank Mr Colless for his contribution to the company since his appointment to the board in 2014 as part of the IPO.

Ms Elizabeth (Liz) Hourigan has been appointed as Company Secretary, replacing Mr Robert Stubbs who will continue in his role as Chief Financial Officer. Liz was previously Company Secretary at Federation Centres. Liz holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne, is a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
