Simble partners with Accurassi to launch upgraded SimbleHome App

Revamped SimbleHome App to enable Australia’s more than 8m households to compare and switch energy retailers at the push of a button

Simble Solutions Limited (ASX: SIS) ( Simble or ‘the Company’ ) an Australian software company focused on energy management and sustainability solutions, today announced that it will launch an upgraded version of its SimbleHome App (‘the App’) in coming weeks.

The free-to-download SimbleHome App will enable Australia's more than 8 million households to compare the market across a panel of over 15 energy retailers and switch electricity providers at the push of a button.

To drive uptake of the App, Simble has signed a marketplace agreement (‘the Agreement’) with Australian energy marketplace provider Accurassi Pty Ltd ( Accurassi ). Accurassi is an Australian-based technology company focused on reducing household costs and emissions through its energy marketplace platform. The Agreement builds on a long-standing partnership established during six years of commercial collaboration between the two entities.

Under the terms of the Agreement, Simble will supply the marketplace platform to residential and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) customers via the SimbleHome App to help them reduce energy costs by finding the best value plans.

In addition to allowing households to compare and switch retailers, the app will also provide them with the option of upgrading to a full-featured version called SimbleHome Plus (App + Energy IoT Meter + Installation). By paying a monthly fee on a term contract, users of SimbleHome Plus are able to access real-time energy consumption and generation insights for the household. SimbleHome Plus empowers consumers to understand their energy usage and implement changes to reduce costs, especially during COVID-19 which has caused many to work from home and energy usage to rise.

The new retailer switching function, and the SimbleHome Plus offering will generate additional revenues for Simble, as well as creating a network of cloud-connected energy IOT monitoring devices in the power meter boxes of Australian homes and businesses. More details regarding these new product initiatives will be unveiled in due course.

Through the partnership, Simble is leading the way in providing consumers with easy-toaccess energy market switching information. The added ability to upgrade to SimbleHome Plus with an Energy IoT device further enables users to monitor power usage, solar generation, battery storage and the consumer’s carbon footprint.

Simble will also target Australia’s SMEs and large corporates, offering the marketplace capability to their employees under a co-branded offer. The Company aims to help those employees working from home (or otherwise) to gain a better understanding of their energy usage while also being able to pick a plan from the marketplace and switch energy retailers. This programme will initially be available in the eastern seaboard states with plans to later roll it out to the rest of Australia.
