2018 Annual General Meeting
Opening
Ladies and gentlemen, it is a great privilege to address you today as Simble’s Chairman at our first Annual General Meeting as an ASX listed company. I will commence my address by introducing you to the Company and the industry we operate in.
Simble is a global software company with headquarters in Sydney that has been providing solutions to businesses since 2009. Simble is focused on energy management and mobility SaaS solutions, enabling businesses to operate more efficiently and sustainably.
Simble’s flagship product is the Simble Energy Platform, an Internet of Things enabled realtime analytics solution targeted at small to medium-sized enterprises. The platform allows businesses to visualise, control and monetise their energy systems in order to reduce their energy consumption as well as energy bill. Over the past few years Simble has made significant R&D investments into what we believe is a highly scalable software product that we are now taking to market through our network of channel partners.
The market for energy management systems is projected to grow at double-digit rates over the coming years as government legislation accelerates demand. Policies are aimed at reducing the energy consumption of businesses and households with particular emphasis on building energy efficiency. In the UK the mandated deployment of 53million smart electricity and gas meters is just one of many examples.
Small to medium sized business make up around 99% of all businesses in Australia and are arguably the backbone of our economy. It is Simble’s mission to enable and empower these businesses to operate more sustainably by providing in-depth analytics with our proprietary technology.

Initial Public Offering

We’ve successfully concluded our Initial Public Offering earlier this year and subsequently listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 22 February 2018. Despite being a relatively small company, we have an impressive share register supported by ten institutional shareholders, which is a validation of our value proposition. The increased brand profile and the capital we raised will enable us to execute on our business strategy and pursue the growth opportunities we have identified.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all shareholders for their ongoing support. We have a responsibility towards our clients, shareholders and partners and we take the privilege of being a public company very seriously.
Our People and the Board
Our people are the greatest asset of our company. Innovation is driven by our employees in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Dubai and Vietnam and their ongoing commitment and enthusiasm for our customers is what drives product development. Our employees have different skills and backgrounds and it is important to acknowledge the contributions of each and every one.
Simble’s Board is united in overseeing the progress of the company on behalf of all the shareholders. We are confident that the Board has the required skills and expertise to navigate the Company through this journey and we are committed to delivering the highest standards of compliance, corporate governance and market transparency. In addition, we are constantly looking for ways to improve shareholder communication and I encourage everyone to use this opportunity today to engage with us and ask questions about the business.
Conclusion
On behalf of the Board I would like to once again thank all shareholders, customers, employees and partners for putting their trust in us. I can assure you that the Board takes its responsibility towards all stakeholders and their interests very seriously and we will continue to do our best to provide appropriate stewardship for the Company.
