SIIC Environment Establishes Joint Venture Company for Waste-To-Energy Project in Shangdong, China

SIIC Environment Establishes Joint Venture Company for Waste-ToEnergy Project in Shangdong, China

SINGAPORE & HONG KONG, 19 March 2019 – SGX Mainboard-listed and HKEX Mainboardlisted water treatment and environmental protection company, SIIC Environment Holdings Ltd . ( 上海實業環境控股有限公司 )(“ SIIC Environment ”, the “ Company ”, and together with its subsidiaries or collectively as the “ Group ”), today announced that the Company through its subsidiary, Shanghai Fudan Water Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. ( 上海復旦水務工程技術有 限公司 ) (“ Fudan ”), has established a joint venture company, Shen County SIIC Environmental Energy Co., Ltd. (the “ JV Co ”), together with World Prosperous Investments Limited (“ World Prosperous ”), Shanghai Nanyi Environmental Technology Company Limited (“ Shanghai Nanyi Environmental ”) and Shandong Sanding Company Limited (“ Shandong Sanding ”) (collectively, the “ Parties ”).

The JV Co will be principally engaged in investment, construction and operation of the Wasteto-energy project with a designed capacity of 1,200 tons/day which located at the Circular Economy Industrial Park in Shen County, Shandong Province ( 山東省莘縣循環經濟產業園 ) in the People’s Republic of China (the “ PRC ”) (“ Project ”).

The JV Co will be incorporated with a registered capital of RMB105 million with contributions from the Parties as follow:

The contribution to be made by Fudan for the incorporation of the JV Co will be funded by the internal resources of the Group.

The establishment of the JV Co is expected to contribute to the Group’s performance positively going forward.
