Severn Trent Plc - Notification of Board Changes

The Board of Severn Trent plc, the UK's leading provider of water and waste water services, today announces a number of Board and Board committee changes.

Having served 8 years on the Board, Dr Bernard Bulkin has decided to step down as a non executive director with effect from 24 January 2014.

Dr Angela Strank will join the Board of Severn Trent plc and Severn Trent Water Limited as an independent non executive director on 24 January 2014. Angela is Vice President and Head of the Chief Executive's Office, BP Group and has held a number of senior technical and commercial leadership roles at BP since 1982.

Gordon Fryett, who is currently an independent non executive director, will succeed Bernard as chairman of the corporate responsibility committee.  Martin Lamb, who is also an independent non executive director, will become a member of the audit committee. Angela will join both the remuneration and corporate responsibility committees upon joining the Board.

No other information is required to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in relation to the appointment of Dr Angela Strank as a director of Severn Trent plc.
