Proposed name change to Severfield plc

Severfield-Rowen plc, the market leading structural steel group, announces that it has today posted a circular to shareholders containing notice of a General Meeting for the purpose of considering a proposal to change the Company's name from 'Severfield-Rowen plc' to 'Severfield plc'. 

The proposal follows an in depth analysis of the Company's brand and brand strength in its various market places and is in line with the ongoing operational improvement programme.

The Company believes the rebrand will create a more easily understood and effective proposition for the Company for all its stakeholders and customers.

Further details on the rebranding will be communicated to shareholders in the Company's Final Results announcement on 3 June 2014.

The General Meeting will be held at 2.00 p.m. on 15 May 2014 at the offices of Ashurst LLP, Broadwalk House, 5 Appold Street, London EC2A 2HA.
