Service Stream has been awarded a $40m contract to install more than 750,000 smart meters as phase 2 of the Jemena Electricity Networks (JEN) and United Energy Distribution (UED) Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) roll-out in Victoria. The new contract will see Service Stream continue as the sole provider of field services through to the completion of the programme in June 2013.
This contract is the only AMI project in Victoria that requires the field installation provider to provide a complete turn-key service which includes:
-
Design, development and support of a field mobility solution
-
Management and scheduling of all field services and data collection
-
Installation of approximately 750,000 smart meters commencing January 2011
-
Installation of communication technology
-
Contact centre services for both Network owners’ customers
-

-
Fault truck support
Service Stream is currently performing AMI installations for the CitiPower and Powercor Electricity Networks in Victoria and the volume of meters we are now contracted to install over the next three years confirms our position as the market leaders in smart metering.
