Graeme Sumner resigns as Managing Director

The Board of Service Stream Limited announced today that Graeme Sumner has decided to step down as Managing Director and will leave the company by the end of the month.

Chairman Peter Dempsey said “The Board would like to thank Graeme for his hard work during his time with the company. He has been instrumental in resolving a range of legacy issues, significantly reducing debt and strengthening the balance sheet and recruiting a new management team to take the business forward”.

“He is leaving the company well positioned for growth and a new Managing Director will be able to capitalise on that platform” Chairman Mr Dempsey said.

Mr Sumner said “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Managing Director of Service Stream. I believe that I have made some real inroads into improving the business over the past four years and am leaving the company well positioned in each of its major markets and with a solid outlook for FY14. I have achieved what I was brought on board to do and the time has come for me to move onto other challenges. I would like to thank my team who I believe have the necessary skills to drive growth and capitalise on the platform we have built over the past four years”.

Mr Dempsey said “Non-Executive Board member Brett Gallagher will become Executive Director on an interim basis while we undertake an executive search process to find a replacement for Graeme”.

“Brett knows the business well having been on the Board since 2010 and prior to that the Managing Director and major shareholder of AMRS until it was acquired by Service Stream in 2008. The Board is confident he will lead the business successfully until a new Managing Director can be found”.

Chief Financial Officer Bob Grant has been appointed as alternate director to Mr Gallagher.
