Unaudited FY23 headline results and new senior appointments at Sequoia

Sequoia Financial Group Limited (ASX: SEQ) ( Sequoia or Company ) wishes to confirm it will announce results for the year ended 30 June 2023, on Tuesday 29 August 2023 before market opening and hold a shareholder briefing following the release allowing investors and shareholders to participate in a webinar including Q&A session.

The Company’s unaudited results are revenue of approximately $130 million and EBITDA of approximately $5.5m, with a normalized EBITDA of $9.0m. The sale of Morrison is expected to finalise at end of August 2023 therefore, all gains from the sale will be booked in the first half of FY24.

The Company is also pleased to announce 3 senior appointments:

1. Martin Morris - Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Martin has accepted the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), starting on 21 August 2023. He has 33 years of Financial Services experience. His expertise in managing teams to generate more clients, build brand awareness, and drive strategy makes him an asset to our team.

Martin was most recently Chief Distribution Officer at Praemium, CEO of Complete Super Solutions and Head of Business Development and Marketing at Capstone.

2. Justin Harding - Head of Legal and Risk

Justin is a lawyer and will be appointed to the role of Head of Legal and Risk, Justin is known for his proven dispute resolution and mediation skills and will take ownership of that role within Sequoia’s Licensee Services Division. His most recent role was at WT Financial Group as Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs has prepared him well for his role at Sequoia. Justin will start with Sequoia later in 2023.

3. Mark Hutchinson - Senior Compliance Manager

Mark will join us on 21 August 2023 as a Senior Compliance Manager, Mark's impressive 30-year career in the financial services industry will further enhance our compliance efforts. Mark has a background in Audit, remediation, breach management, and policy enforcement. Mark previously worked at ASIC, in the Assessment and Intelligence team.

The new appointments represent a significant milestone for our organisation, and we are confident that their leadership will elevate our Company to new levels of success.
