ASX Release

30 November 2017

2017 AGM Chairman's Address to Shareholders

As you know, SenSen listed on the Australian Securities Exchange on 18 October this year, only about six weeks ago, following a successful capital raising of $6.5m. We received strong support from new and existing institutional and retail shareholders in the IPO.

These funds are being used to further develop SenSen's real-time video data analytics and artificial intelligence software products and services, as well as to aggressively grow our international customer base. Apart from Australia, SenSen already has Smart Cities customers in Europe, Canada, Singapore, UAE and India and shareholders can expect to see this global footprint expand over the coming months and years.

The Company's focus is currently on two key market segments – Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Gaming.

ITS uses real-time smart cameras and sensors along with SenSen's artificial intelligence ability to provide advanced analytics on traffic flow and vehicle infringement enforcement.

  • On listing day, we announced that we had won a new multi-year contract with Changi Airport, Singapore, worth approximately A$320,000;
  • A month earlier, in September, the Company announced it had signed a 5-year agreement with the City of Calgary, in Canada, worth approximately A$2,460,000.
  • In July, SenSen announced that it been admitted to the new NSW Government Roads and Maritime Services panel for Supply, Installation, Maintenance and Certification Services of Detection and Enforcement Camera Systems and it is anticipated that this extension could generate revenues of approximately $A2,000,000 over the course of the next three years.

These are just a few of the growing list of international governments to choose SenSen to provide its ITS as the company's software products provide 'breakthroughs' for more efficient travel on roads, ferries and rail, making cities more efficient, safer and more liveable. This trend is expected to continue, with SenSen having doubled the number of City customers, year on year, over the last three years.

ASX Release

In Gaming, SenSen has been working with Crown on world-leading software that is able to analyse the number and type of bets placed, hands per hour, and the value of bets placed on live table games in real time.

Until SenSen's innovation, casino performance metrics of live table games was only possible by labour-intensive manual counts during operational hours. SenSen's patent-pending technology can now deliver real-time, accurate and actionable data about live table games.

The accuracy and stability of the solution has been established on live games of Blackjack, Baccarat and various kinds of Poker providing real-time tracking of player demand. The SenSen system continues to be deployed across Crown's gaming floors, and going forward, shareholders can expect to see a progressive roll-out of the technology, and additional value-added features, in other casino operations globally.

Investment in SenSen's R & D program is central to the Company's ongoing success in generating new products and keeping ahead of the competition, and the Company's highest quality technical team, based in Melbourne, supported by its Indian back-office, continues to win industry plaudits.

  • In October, leading US artificial intelligence chip maker NVIDIA, ranked as the 'Smartest Company in the World' by industry publication MIT Technology Review, announced it had selected SenSen as one of the foundation companies for its global Metropolis Software Partner Program (a platform of software providers with the ability to meet the needs for rapid adoption of AI and deep learning for Smart Cities worldwide).
  • In September, SenSen announced it had won a National AIIA Technology Innovation Merit iAward from the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), for its SenSIGN – Automated Asset Mapping Solution product, in the Public Sector & Government category. SenSIGN is the world's first fully automated solution to perform sign audits in a cost-effective manner helping city councils create, update and maintain a database of traffic signs, parking signs and line markings.

ASX Release

The whole SenSen team is determined to rapidly grow the company for all shareholders, through a continuing strong focus on technology leadership, commercialising new products and executing revenue opportunities internationally, in FY2018 and beyond.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank all our shareholders, and our advisors for the support during the ASX listing process and together we can look forward to an exciting year ahead!
