DIRECTOR MICHAEL CARROLL TO RETIRE AT AGM

Select Harvests announces that non-executive director Mr Michael Carroll has indicated he will not be seeking re-election at the Select Harvests’ annual general meeting in February 2021.

Mr Carroll joined the board as a non-executive director on 31 March 2009 and was subsequently appointed to chair the Remuneration Committee (later the Remuneration and Nomination Committee), a post he currently holds.

Select Harvests’ chairman Michael Iwaniw said Mr Carroll had provided a great contribution to the company over almost 12 years, through a period of enormous change and growth for the business. Over this period Select has transformed from a horticultural services business to a vertically integrated almond producer with one of the largest almond orchard portfolios in the world.

“Mike Carroll is a person of great integrity and his contribution around the board table, at various committees and to the company as a whole over his term has been exceptional,” Mr Iwaniw said.

“Select Harvests’ shareholders have been well served by Mike’s financial knowledge, his broad corporate experience, and his personal understanding of agriculture and agribusiness,” he said.

In the interest of preserving board independence, Select Harvest’ Board Charter includes an expectation that Non-Executive Directors not serve more than 4 terms or 12 years

This announcement has been approved by the Board of SHV.
