RETIREMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

29[th] February 2012

Leading Australian almond producer Select Harvests Limited (ASX: SHV) today announced that Chief Executive Officer, John Bird, will retire on March 31[st] 2012 after 14 years in the role, in order to to pursue other interests.

The Board has appointed executive search consultancy Amrop Cordiner King to run a recruitment process to identify the best available candidate for the role, and a successor will be announced in due course.

Mr Iwaniw said, “On behalf of the Company, I would like to thank John for his commitment and hard work and the significant contribution he has made to Select Harvests. John has overseen the successful transition of Select Harvests from a manager of orchards to a leading Australian owner of almond orchards with a strong portfolio of Company Orchards and a strong footprint in the global almond market. He has put in place a team of executives well equipped to drive ongoing initiatives and ensure a smooth transition to new leadership. The Board will now focus its efforts on identifying the right successor to drive the next phase of the Company’s growth.”

John Bird, Chief Executive Officer said, “After 14 years as Chief Executive I have made the decision to step down. I am confident that I leave Select Harvests well placed to benefit from the strong fundamentals in the global almond market and wish the Company every success in the future.”
