Select Harvests Limited (ASX: SHV) today announced the appointment of Mr Michael Iwaniw to the position of Non Executive Director.

Mr Iwaniw has a career spanning 40 years in the Australian grain industry, beginning his career as a chemist with the Australian Barley Board (ABB), and becoming the Managing Director in 1989, retiring from this role some 20 years later. During these years he accumulated extensive experience in all facets of the company’s operations, including leading the transition from a statutory authority and growing the business from a small base to an ASX 100 listed company. He played a significant role in orchestrating the merger of ABB Grain, Ausbulk Ltd and United Grower Holdings Ltd to form one of Australia’s largest agribusinesses. His contribution to the Australian Grain industry was acknowledged in 2008 when he was awarded the NAB/Monash Agribusiness Awards for Excellence “Agribusiness Leader of the Year”. He has a Bachelor of Science, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He has acted as a Non Executive Director of a number of Company’s including Toepfer International, New World Grain (Ukraine), Australian Bulk Alliance and Five Star Flour Mill (Egypt). He is currently a Non Executive Director of Australian Grain Growers Cooperative.
