Update on SEEK capital raising
SEEK Limited ( SEEK ) has successfully completed a placement of $65.5 million at an issue price of A$2.60 per share. The offer was strongly supported by existing SEEK shareholders. Settlement is scheduled to take place on 29 April 2009.
In addition, a placement of $34.5 million will be made to Consolidated Media Holdings Limited, Andrew Bassat (Joint CEO) and Paul Bassat (Joint CEO), subject to SEEK being granted a waiver of ASX Listing Rule 10.11 or, failing receipt of such waiver, approval from SEEK shareholders. The total placement size will be $100 million.
As previously announced, SEEK will offer eligible shareholders in Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to purchase additional shares through a Share Purchase Plan ( SPP ) and Top-Up Offer.
Further details of the SPP and Top-Up Offer will be provided to eligible shareholders shortly.
