SEEK appoints Professor Linda Kristjanson AO to the Board

SEEK Limited ( SEEK ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Linda Kristjanson AO as a non-executive Director, effective from 9 October 2020.

Linda is a leading figure in the education sector with an academic career spanning four decades across Australia, Canada and the United States.

Linda was Vice-Chancellor and President of Swinburne University of Technology from May 2011 until her retirement in August 2020. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering. Linda is Chairperson of the Board of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre and a Non-Executive Director of Education Australia Limited.

In 2002, Linda was named the Australian Telstra Business Woman of the Year in recognition of her entrepreneurial work in health and science and, in 2017, was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia in honour of her distinguished service to tertiary education through leadership and governance roles, strategic and innovative university reforms, contributions to cancer research and palliative care, and to women.

Commenting on the appointment, SEEK Chairman Graham Goldsmith said, “ Linda has had a distinguished career in the education sector, renowned for her innovation and leadership in both on campus and online education. Linda’s extensive experience in the sector will complement the skills and knowledge of the existing SEEK Board, and support SEEK’s growth aspirations in online education. We are delighted to welcome Linda to SEEK. ”

In accordance with SEEK’s Constitution, Linda will stand for election at SEEK’s upcoming 2020 Annual General Meeting.
