SEEK (ASX: SEK) today announced the appointment of Mr Neil Chatfield as an independent director.

Mr Chatfield is currently a Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Toll Holdings Limited, having joined its Board in July 1998. Toll Holdings is Australia's leading provider of integrated transport and logistics services.

The appointment of an additional independent director was foreshadowed in the recent SEEK Prospectus. Mr Chatfield will Chair the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

The Chairman of SEEK, Mr James Packer, said that Mr Chatfield's appointment will strengthen the financial and risk management expertise of the board.

"Neil has extensive experience in financial management, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management and the Board looks forward to working closely with Neil in the future" he said.

Neil has a Masters of Business in Finance and Accounting, as well as post-graduate studies in information technology and accounting, and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
