Securitas enters the security services market in Ecuador

Following the strategy to expand in Latin America, Securitas has acquired the security services company Seguridad y Turismo Segutouring Cia (SGT Seguridad) in Ecuador. Enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 12 (MUSD 1.8).

SGT Seguridad has annual sales of approximately MSEK 61 (MUSD 9) and approximately 900 employees. The company has a national coverage and is mainly operating in guarding services.

There are about 600 security services companies in Ecuador. The security market is estimated to be worth approximately MSEK 2,380 (MUSD 350).

The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of February 1, 2011.
