SECURE TRUST BANK ANNOUNCES BOARD CHANGE

Secure Trust Bank PLC ("STB" or "Secure Trust Bank" or "the Group") today announced the resignation of Independent Non-Executive Director, Carol Sergeant, CBE from the STB Board, in order to avoid any potential conflict of interest due to the taking up of increased responsibilities with another bank.

Carol joined the Secure Trust Bank Board in September 2011 just prior to STB's listing on AIM.  Carol came to the STB Board with a wealth of financial services' expertise and experience, including Head of Major Banks' Supervision at the Bank of England and Managing Director at the Financial Services Authority and Chief Risk Officer of Lloyds Bank.

Commenting on Carol's decision to step down from the STB Board, Secure Trust Bank's Chairman, Sir Henry Angest, said:

"Carol has brought a wealth of financial and corporate governance experience to the Secure Trust Bank Board over the past four years, making significant contributions to the direction in which we have taken the Bank since its listing on AIM in 2011.

"I wish Carol every success in her future endeavours."

Carol Sergeant's resignation from the STB Board will take effect from 31st December 2015.
