ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Secure Trust Bank PLC ("STB" or "the Group") today announces that The Rt. Hon. Lord Forsyth of Drumlean will join the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 March 2014.

Commenting on the appointment Henry Angest, Chairman, said:
