Sectra secures major order for region-wide medical IT solution in Norway

ITandmedical technology company Sectra has been entrustedwith delivering the northernmost PACS in the world. The major Norwegian healthcare region, Helse Nord, is set to use Sectra's solution and the eleven hospitals that are included in the region will share patient information and radiology images. This will facilitate the efficient use of resources and enhance the quality of care. Helse Nord has signed a fouryear agreement with Sectra, with the option of an extension. The order value amounts to EUR 6.3 Million.

Under the agreement, Sectra will deliver its comprehensive solution for the management of patient information and digital radiology images (RIS/PACS)and the planning of orthopaedic procedures. The solution will be integrated with other IT systems at the hospitals, including the journalsystems.

Using Sectra's system, the hospitals in Helse Nord willconsolidate the radiology operations at the eleven hospitals into one operation. The installation of Sectra's comprehensive solution willenhance the efficiency of the operational processes that are related to the radiology departments and increase access to radiology images and patient information throughout the region.
