Trading Update
MELBOURNE, Australia – SDI Limited (ASX: SDI), a leading dental technology company that conducts research and development, manufacturing, and marketing of specialist dental materials, today provides a trading update for the twelve months ended 30 June 2025 and an update on the Montrose project.
FY25 Preliminary unaudited Sales update
Total Sales of $111.0 million, marginally down 0.2% compared to the prior corresponding period (pcp). In local currencies, European sales were up 7.2% and Brazil up 9.9%. These regional gains were partially offset by weaker direct export sales in the Middle East and Asia; and continuing declines in Amalgam sales, down 20.4% on pcp, now representing 13.3% of total sales. This decline was most pronounced in North America and Europe.
Gross Profit and expenses
Gross profit margins improved to 63.0%, up from 62.1% in the pcp, driven by ongoing production efficiencies and product mix. Operating Expenses remain well managed despite sustained inflationary pressures, especially in employment costs.
Profit Outlook
Net Profit after Tax (NPAT) is expected to be in the range of $10.0 million to $10.4 million compared to $10.4 million for the pcp.
Montrose Project Update
Construction tenders have been received, including acceptable submissions ranging from $24 million to $25 million, with selection of the preferred tender anticipated by mid-July 2025. The planning permit approval is progressing well, with construction expected to commence in September 2025 upon permit finalisation. The Board has resolved that the project will be fully funded by a combination of sale and lease back of the current Bayswater premises and debt.
Full year results release
SDI’s Full Year results (Appendix 4E) will be released on August 28, 2025. An investor conference call will be held on the same day at 11:00am, with further details to be provided in due course.
