Due to the increasing demand for inspection and to avoid prior notification given to manufacturers sufficient time to prepare, FDA announced this year that it will develop a plan to conduct unannounced inspection of overseas pharmaceutical facilities, with purpose to enhance foreign manufacturers to comply with the quality and safety standards accordingly, and without concealment acts. • Surprise inspection started from India and China. • Other countries inspection will resume from February. • Manufacturers should be ready any time from inspection.
