EXPANSION PLANS AND DC ROSS

The Board of Directors of Scott Technology Limited (“Scott’) is pleased to announce its plans to extend the building and associated facilities at 630 Kaikorai Valley Road. Detailed plans are being finalised but it is expected that the expansion will nearly double the available floor space.

The expansion of the land and buildings was anticipated at the time of development by Scott and is now supported by Scott’s growth strategy.

Scott has also entered into an unconditional agreement to purchase all the assets of DC Ross Ltd, which is in receivership. This transaction is separate, but complementary to, the expansion. Scott intends to employ a number of the remaining staff from DC Ross and to continue to service customers. Many of the customers and suppliers to DC Ross are well known to Scott which will make for an easy transfer of ownership. The total purchase price is expected to be less than $500,000.

DC Ross operates a small engineering business known for producing high quality fine blanking press parts. The main assets are metal blanking presses and metal tool making machinery, similar to what Scott currently uses, along with the knowledge and skills of the engineering team.
