Directorate Change

Schroders plc announces that Nichola Pease is standing down from the Board with immediate effect in order to take up the position of Chairman of Jupiter Fund Management plc from 2 March 2020.

Damon Buffini has been appointed Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and Rhian Davies has been appointed a member of the Committee, both with immediate effect. Damon Buffini joined the Remuneration Committee in 2018. Deborah Waterhouse has been appointed to the Audit and Risk Committee, also with immediate effect.

Nichola Pease was due to leave the Board in April 2021 and in anticipation of this a search was already underway for another non-executive Director. We will therefore ensure the Board continues to have a majority of Independent Directors, in line with our stated policy.

Michael Dobson, Chairman of Schroders said 'Nichola has made a major contribution at the Board and as Chair of the Remuneration Committee. I understand her desire to take up this opportunity, particularly as her term would in any event come to an end in April 2021.'

Nichola Pease said 'I have greatly enjoyed my seven years at Schroders, a period of significant progress, and I wish the Company well.'
