Retirement of the Chairman

Schroder UK Mid Cap Fund plc (the "Company") announces that the Company's Chairman, Mr Eric Sanderson, has retired following the Company's Annual General Meeting on 8 February 2021, in line with the Company's published succession plan.

Mr Robert Talbut, who was appointed an independent non-executive director of the Company in February 2016, succeeds Mr Sanderson as Chairman and commented:

"I am pleased to be succeeding Eric, who leaves the Company well-positioned to achieve further success on behalf of shareholders. My fellow directors and I are thankful for Eric's stewardship as Chairman and for his contribution to the Company's achievements since his appointment in 2011. We wish him every future success."
