Disclosure of significant shareholding – notification of exemption from consolidation

Equinor ASA has today notified the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority of its decision to not consolidate its listed shareholdings with shareholdings managed by Equinor Asset Management AS, pursuant to section 4-2(1) and (3) of the Norwegian Securities Trading Regulation. Following the notification, Equinor ASA’s shareholding in Scatec ASA is no longer consolidated with Equinor Insurance AS’ (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Equinor ASA) shareholding in Scatec ASA.

Equinor ASA holds 20,776,200 shares in Scatec ASA, corresponding to 13.07 percent of the shares and votes. In addition, Equinor Insurance AS holds 53,216 shares in Scatec ASA, corresponding to 0.03 percent of the shares and votes. Neither Equinor ASA nor Equinor Insurance AS hold any rights to shares in Scatec ASA. This disclosure is made pursuant to section 4-3 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.
