ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 2, SECTION 1O OF THE SECURITIES MARKETS ACT

Variko Oy(company to be founded), Riitta-Liisa Kotilainen and Sirpa Kotilainen
have according to chapter 2, section 9, of the Securities Markets Act on 18
April 2012 disclosed to Scanfil plc (business ID 2422742-9) that on 17 April
2012 Variko Oy's, Riitta-Liisa Kotilainen's and Sirpa Kotilainen's ownership
in Scanfil plc has risen above one-tenth(1/10) of Scanfil plc´s shares and
voting rights.

As the result of the division of property and the distribution of an
inheritance in the estate of Eero Alvari Kotilainen on 9 April 2012, the shares
of Scanfil Oyj, transferred to the inheritors and beneficiaries, have been
transferred to the ownership of Variko Oy (company to be founded) with a trade
agreement on 17 April 2012. Based on the agreement between stakeholders, the
voting right in Variko Oy is used together by Riitta-Liisa Kotilainen (50%) and
Sirpa Kotilainen (50%). Riitta-Liisa Kotilainen and Sirpa Kotilainen also own
shares of Scanfil plc personally. Share of ownerships and percentages of the
share of Scanfil plc are:

Variko Oy (company to be founded):7,273,109; 12.60% of shares
Riitta-Liisa Kotilainen: 11,000 shares; 0.02% of shares
Sirpa Kotilainen: 11,000 shares; 0.02% of shares
